Characteristics: It is colourless and viscous oily liquid. The solidification point is 20.1 C, the melting point is 20.2 C, the boiling point is 228 C, the relative density is 1.0171 (20/4 C), and the refractive index is 1.4461. Flash point (cup) at 121 C. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, slightly soluble in ether. It is hygroscopic and odorless, while the entrance is slightly sweet.
Advantages: Bio-based 1,4-butanediol is made from bio-based succinic acid by esterification, hydrogenation, purification and other processes and the content of bio-carbon is more than 80%. It is the necessary raw material for production of biodegradable plast PBAT, PBS, PBSA, PBST and so on.
